How many is too many? (drilling my 55g)

I'm drilling my 55g and have 3 1" holes drilled for my calfo return. I want to add a small pump on a CLS for a floor sweep, but someone raised the doubt that drilled any more holes in this might compromise the integrity of the back glass.

Like i said, i have 3 1" bulkheads instealled near the top for this: http://www.beananimal.com/projects/s...ow-system.aspx

I just want another couple 1" bulkheads near the bottom center in the back. Those bulkheads are going to split into 1/2" T's into 90's at 4 locations across the bottom for a floor sweep under my rock structure.

Is a total of 5 holes in this too much?

Thanks all!

I look at it this way....the more holes you drill, the more points for failure. Even if it just leaks, it can cause a problem. I would think that the three holes would be plenty. I have one hole.......and it handles a good 500-700gph without a problem. I would think that the three holes should be able to handle your application without any problems.

You should be OK with clean drill holes and adequate room around then, not to close to the edges

If you do drill the other holes, assemble the plumbing and test it with FW before putting it into place, and make sure you have no obvious issues
