How Many Firefish???
I thought a few firefish might make a nice addition to my tank. Can I safely have 3 or 4 firefish? I have gotten mixed answers. I also read that they are very bad jumpers. I have an acrylic tank where the top is open but not like on a glass tank. Here is a picture. Would I have to get that clear screening material to cover the top?

I would do something to keep the manly fish in,.. there macho and love to sky dive. Myself I have a fully enclosed canapy so they can get their thrills but still stay in the drink.
My 180 has 3 manlyfish in it,.. they all hang together,.. in fact they've started their own little gang, and have comendeered a nice hole to have their home base in.
Manlyfish.

I have 3 in a 140, they definately have more guts than my tang...Mine come out when the lights come on and go to bed when the lights go out, front and center all day as with all my fish except the yellow tang.

I had two and all they did was fight. Since them Ive been told they need to be in odd numbers. So I would either go with 3 or 5.

I am going to go to HD and get that clear nylon screen and some screen frames and make an easy to remove top. I only have the 3 holes to cover so nothing too big. I am going to try 4 firefish tomorrow. I talked to the LFS and they are cutting me a really nice deal. I am basically paying Online pricing for them.

I had 2 in my 75 and one killed the other.
Didn't really kill it but harassed it so much that it never came out to eat and died after a few weeks
