I started out with 6 in a 125 gallon & lost a couple right off the bat & have not gotten around to replacing...the 4 left seem to be doing very well for the last 6 months, they are always out in the open and do not seem shy or stessed out at all. I have heard the 6 minimum thing as well, however would take it with a grain of salt. I do intend to eventually get more, just for aesthetics. They are wonderful fish, beautiful, peaceful, hardy, and best of all cheap.

I only have 4 but they love hanging around each other. It's more like a resource room then a school.

Ha. I put eight in a 75 gallon tank, and they promptly gotten eaten by a long tentacled plate. Bad for the fish, but, man, does my plate look goooooood!

Cheers...Michael

I started with 5 in my 90 g and over time lost 2. Now the three are larger so adding more later would be difficult because a smaller one would get picked on.

I really like the way they school and are always out front and easy to spot.

I would get 8 or 10 and figure to loose some.
