Yes, but how do you know that you are not buying a piece that just came in...it is on the TOP!

My plan is to go to a reputable fish "boutique" and get some good LR, hopefully that has been soaking, and put it in my quarantine tank for a while (like a week). Can we all agree on that? Or shall I go to my personal forum for information!!

Given the investment we have all made on our tanks, why trust anyone, cure it anyways. Let the test kits tell you if it is cured or not.

i agree with that! either put in QT, and test the water. or ask the lfs to set your pieces aside in another tank. and keep it there for a few weeks, go back and get it after that. dont keep it in their live rock tanks if possible, if its a good store, they might put it in their other systems to cure out.

oh boy, now you've started another thread on test kits
the method of putting the LR in the QT tank will only work until you need to medicate the QT tank
then don't do it

K, I am still new here, and have obviously stumbled into something..... Someone wanna explain? All I said was test kit..... Is this something like anyone saying kiss around my 5 year old daughter, and the uncontrollable giggle she gets from it?

Sorry, we should have been in Margaritaville where chit chat is all good. It is a long story, but basically know-it-all, who knows everything, thinks I ask a lot of questions. But we cannot all be him, so he will just have to deal! He says I need my own forum!

I helped her set her tank up last weekend, when she was at 400 on the post count
at one point on Sunday night she had 4 different questions going in about 5 different posts
it's all fun and games untill someone looses an eye
