I have the 4 tube 48" version of this light

I have the blue lights on for 1 hr then white lights on (along with the blues).

10 hrs later the whites go off, 1 hr later the blues go off.

12hrs a day for the blues, 10 hrs a day for the whites.

B WB WB WB WB WB WB WB WB WB WB B

Moonlights on always.

Hope this helps

I'm starting to have heat issues so I went to a 8h actinic 6h MH cycle. but my normal cycle is 10h actinic 8h MH.

It depends on what you have in your tank and how they are doing. If you have low light demanding corals and like the blue look, then make your actinic photoperiod 12 hrs and shorten the daylghts to maybe 6-8 hours. If this is not enough light, then extend your daylights to 8-10 hours. You can also shorten your actinic period too, but I would not extend the actinics to beyond 12 hours. Just experiment with the lights, most of the time your corals will tell you what they want.

Forgot to add, the depth of your tank and substrate (or lack of one) also makes a difference too. If the tank is really shallow or bare bottom, I would decrease the photoperiod.
