how long is kalkwasser good for?


if i mix a gallon of water with it.. how long do i have to use it before it is bad?

Has it been sealed? (cap screwed on?)

I read an artical that mixed kalkwasser (if you put the lid on) and even it if forms a "crust on top" will be nearly as effective in a month as when it was first mixed. I'll have to try and dig up the site, it was a really good read complete with data graphs etc.

no i mixed it in an old tupperware bowl.... uncovered.. so i guess it is safe to say just dump it and mix a new batch?

it won't be as effective but it won't hurt your system either.

i cant image a problem with it as kalk sits in mixed kalk reactors for months at a time.

then why does it say only a weeks worth on the label... i dumped it anyway but curious now for future
