How long do you run your phosban before changing?

As the question states, wondering how long all of you that use phosban media go between changes? I appreciate any input you can offer.

It depends on how high a reading you have! The higher the shorter the time you keep it in there.

I usually judge by the output flow, but probably every 2-3 months.

Depends on the tank ... if the tanks newer or heavily stocked you may need to change more often than a mature/lightly stocked tank.

You could monitor phosphate readings and see when it starts going up - then in the future change it just before then.

If I need to change my agale sraping routine (every 10 to 12 days normally), then I change tha phosban and make sure that I've not drifted away from the water change routine (siphoning detritus, etc, clean skimmer, blast rock, perform water chnge). This usually will i9mmediately bing things back to norm (and end up changing the phosban every 30 to 40 days )

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Just trying to get a feel for when to change mine. I will probably shoot for every 6 weeks or so.
