How long can you store RO/DI water?
We are going to buy a RO/DI system and my questions are
1: How long can we store the water in a covered trash can?
2: Will the water go bad?
3: Do we have to add anything to it?
4: Should we add an air pump or something to keep it circulated?

Should we use something other than a rubbermaid trash can?

any stagnant water can go stale
that's why I recommend you keep it agitated with an air stone or water pump

Just make sure not to leave RO water w/ salt mix....the smell is something awful. Not to be crude, but the closest thing I can relate it to is a "liquid emitted by a cat".

I haven't noticed this issue with my set up, but the longest I've ever let mine sit is about 8 days.

any water can get stagnant, dust settles in it, (no matter how you make your ro, its never "pure") things are in it, and it grows bacteria and gets nasty.

why would keeping the water agitated prevent that?
