How long are your lights on per day?

I have just started using a timer for my lights and am wondering how I should set it. As of now the lights are only off when I go to bed until I get up in the morning, about 8 hours. Should I set it for more of a 12 on 12 off cycle?

I've been running my MH's for 10 hours a day. I'm thinking about cutting it back to 6 or so.

I run the Actinics 12 hours/day, lunars all night, MHs 9 hours per day. So far so good, corals like them. On the nano I run the PCs 8 hours/day.

I run atinics for 12 hours, and MH (daylights) for 10. One tank doesn't have 2 banks of lights I can do that with so I just run the whole lighting setup for 10 hours.

Thanks,
Whiskey

i watch or work on my tank usually around 7pm-9pm.... so i have my lights come on at 3pm and go off at 11pm....8hours.

MY WIFE LOVES THE FACT THAT THE LIGHT GO OUT AT 11PM..... HELL SHE'D PROBABLY TURN THEM BACK TO 10PM IF SHE COULD FIGURE-OUT HOW TO DO IT....

......11PM "LIGHTS-OUT" IS SORTA LIKE A GAME-ENDING BUZZER SAYING, "TIMES-UP, TIME FOR BED"

... IF IT WERENT FOR THE "11PM LIGHTS-OUT" I'D PROBABLY STAY UP UNTIL 1AM-2AM WORKING ON STUFF....WHILE MY WIFE LAID IN BED PISSED AT ME
