How fast do Acans grow?

Does anyone have experience in Acan growth? I have a frag with one full head and 2 half heads. How long do they take to grow under power compacts? I have it sitting up close to the lights. Is their growth comparable to Blasto's?

i have zero experience with acan growth, but all the rest of the skeletal building encrusting lps I have dealt with I have found will grow much faster if you attach them to a rock that they can encrust over vs building their skeleton out into open space

Thanks Fly, I do have it glued. They are just so expensive when they are large, much more affordable as little ones. Looking forward to watching it grow.

I hope someone posts that knows the answer as I am interested in getting a couple of small frags myself.

Thanks for asking this question.

It really depends on the acan some grow slow and other grow fast. The 2 half heads should become whole heads in a few weeks.
If you would like you can always target feed them at night which makes them grow alot faster.
Good luck with them & becareful they can become very addicting

I will try target feeding with some cyclopeeze. I do love the way they look and can see them being addicting. Around here I dont see the small frags too often. I refuse to spend over $100 on them (or any coral for that matter). I would rather watch them grow. I also love the Blasto's

Let us know how it goes for you debs.

It will be a little while before I can get any, as right now I am still fighting with my wallet trying to keep the money from being sucked out of it.
