How do you frag a Blasto?

He has grown to a decent size and would like to frag......just to frag a few for others.

He now has about 40 heads and is about 5" round!

Yaaaaah....but do I chop a single head or just cut a small section off?

Do I need to try to go between heads? Out of water Ok as well?

you can chop as many frags as you want. just try to keep between the polyps. you will need to do this out of the water.

I used a pair of pliars (as a hammer) and a chisel. I had my wife hold it in position and I just went between the polyps. It didn't take much. Very soft taps. (BTW Electricians always use pliars as a hammer!)

Thanks.......

Then do I leave them as is or Super glue them to a rock? They came in/on what looks like a small water holder thingy for flowers. Can sort of see it in the picture above!

I have a dremel on hand so I'll use it!

It seems a little safer

Either way. I left my frag clean. It's in the frag tank right now and it's getting BIG. It's being traded for a Superman Monti!
