how do you feed Formula 1?

Sounds like a stupid question to me, but when I did it like I usually do it just didn't work!

When I feed frozen mysid I just put a chunk in some water and let it thaw, rinse and put it in the tank. It floats all around and the fish and horses are able to eat. So I did that today, my first time, with the Formula 1. It's rubbery! I tried squishing it apart with my fingers but as soon as it hit the tank it just sank to the bottom. One pj grabbed a piece but that's all I saw. The poor firefish was looking all over, he could have sworn there was food in the tank!

What am I doing wrong?

It's been a while since I've fed that type of frozen, but I think it was one of the cubes I would have to cut into smaller pieces w/ a sharp knife first.....I used the variety pack for a while from Oceans Nutrition, and a few of those frozens needed to be chopped up.....

I've not fed formula one but whatever cube I have, I thaw in RO water and stir it to break it up rinse through a teabag strainer then feed

Yep! That's what I do.

While it's still frozen, I cut it up a bit. Then put the cut up pieces in some tank water for 10 minutes....then dump a little on both sides of the tank.

Once a piece hits the eductors though, it's blasted to smitherines. hahaha

I tried again and let it soak and melt real good. Then I took a spoon and mushed it up real good, that seemed to work.
