How do you clean MH bulbs??

I am getting some salt buildup on my MH bulbs (250 W Iwasakis). I remember reading that you are not supposed to touch these with bare skin because of oil transfer (or some other notion). What is the safest surest way to clean the salt off without reducing the bulbs' lifespan??

its okay to touch mogul bulbs with your hands - the screw in type. just don,t handle the double ended type if you do be sure to wipe them off with acohol if its just a little salt build up a little warm water will do it if its more a little vinegar will do it
