how do LTA's COLONIZE????

I went to a LFS that had a TON (like over 50) LTA's that some local guy had in his 200+ gal reeftank.... he decided to give up on the tank and got with the owner of the LFS and did a consigment sale on his 50+ LTA

The LFS owner told me the guy only started with 2-3 LTAs

QUESTION: how do LTAs populate and spread thruout a tank from 2-3 to over 50???? Do the LTAs split/divide or do they squirt out stuff to reproduce other places in the tank???

if the water is right for them and they are fed well they will grow and split, grow and split.
depending on the color will decide the $ value.
they most likly are
Macrodactyla doreensis
or Valonia utricularis
you might find cork srew when looking them up. but should find long tent. with them
