Depending on what they are they may sting each other and kill one or the other, Possibly both. It's best to allow for growth when you place your frags to prevent them from touching. Some, Like Frogspawn, Hammer & Torch can touch without major problems because they are in the same family but most can not. Things like GSP can surround and smother many types of corals. Others just have a powerful sting that can kill.

Be careful.

when putting frags in your tank just think about how they grow. you might want to put zoas near a monti because the zoas will grow on the rock around it and the monti will grow up.

I've noticed in the case of stony corals, one will sting the other. I have a number of frags sitting very near in a frag rack, and if one of them falls onto another, it's never been a good thing. I'd try to give them all enough space to grow independently.

It's kind of survival of the fittest, and normally they won't killl each other, just the areas that are touching will be affected (in my experience). I like to mount my coral such that it's easy to move just in case something bad happens. Good luck!
