I use Jasc after shot. Been using it for years, I had to pay for the program, But I can resize all my pictures at the same time. I'm sure many free ones out on the net.

I use paint shop pro. Got an old free copy a long time ago. LOVE PSP. WAY better than photo shop! hahaahha

It's also a Jasc product (bought out by Corel). I think you can get a free trial version from their site:

I use Photoshop Elements, came free with a Toshiba camera I bought some years ago.

You can also download to Photobucket.com, they automatically resize, then use the Image link to post your pics here. I've been doing that awhile (but optimizing with PSE first) and like the pics better than a link.

I'm telling you...gimp is the way to go. It is a high end image manipulation tool like photoshop. It's free because it's open-source. It really is easy to install, and there are a number of tutorials online about how to use it to resize images.

i already resized my pics but TRT said the file size was still to large i dont really want to make them smaller in size, i would like to convert them to i guess a different file type to make them smaller in bytes but the same in actual physical size. or do i just need to make them smaller

convert them to jpg. This allows you bigger pic sizes with smaller file size.

bmp's are HUGE!!!

gif's are pretty small in size too, but you loose color clarity.

There are other file formats that are better, but not as commonly viewable...so I'd stick to the jpg format.
