how big is the box for a MRC MR-1?

I'm trying to order a MRC skimmer and im curious as to how big the box that it comes in is. I live in Japan and have a military mailing address. So I can only recive box's that are less than 70 pounds and dont exceed 130 inches in combined length and girth.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Andy at MRC, but I also e-mailed Champion Lighting & Supply to see if they would ship to an APO. I recived a very quick reply saying that the box was to big to ship via the USPS. So either the box for these skimmers are HUGE or Champion Lighting & Supply just dosnt want to deal with going to the post office.

I dont' know the exact dimensions of the box my MR2 came in...but i know it was a pretty big. Actually, it was two boxes. And they were MOSTLY full of peanuts. (meaning...I think it could actually be shipped in a smaller box.

But if you explain to Andy ... he might be able to pack it a little tighter, use a smaller box, or maybe take it apart a little more and ship it in a few boxes.

I'd leave him another message (call and e-mail)...and see what he can do.
