Houston we have a problem!!!!!

Well to start off my buddy has had his tank for a while and I have been helping him take care of it because he is new to the hobby I myself have had my tank since 2001. I went out of town for the summer and when i got back all of his live rock is covered in aiptasia. It is pretty bad!! Anyways I've put in pepermint shrimp and they dont seem to be making a difference and used joe juice. i'm almost to the point of telling him he is screwed and he should start over. Any thoughts?

Kill all the big specimens with kalk paste, no more than about a tablespoonful in 30 gal a day (remember tha kalk can be a bit of a problem if you use too much) Forget Joe for a while if they are all big, then release the peppermints. They will kill little ones much easier than th big ones, and do not feed the tank heavily for a few weeks unless you have fish that must be fed on a daily basis, then just what they will take up in the 5 minuts r s you stand and watch. This keepis you from feeding the peppermints at all, so they will go after the aiptasia.

The tank has no coral and only a hawkfish, clownfish, a huge emerald crab and the shrimp so I could put the fish in my quarintine tank at my house no problem.
