Question

Houston Reefers

I would like to know some opinions on the top LFSs in the Houston area. Also curious if there is any I am missing.
Thanks in advance.

Hey Marco...Welcome to TRT! I know the feeling...there are so many LFS in Houston it would take forever to check them all out. Where do you live? The ones I frequent are Aquatic Designs & Global Fish & Pet....these were suggested by a few members of MARSH the local reef society. They both have an awesome selection of soft & hard corals & beautiful display tanks but not much of a fish selection...unless you have the money for the rarer fish. I have heard good things about Fish Ranch at 59 & Bellaire & another place on the North Freeway...can't think of the name right now.

I did get the chance to check out Aquarium World on 290 & they had a nice selection of fish & fair selection of soft corals.... I went there in search of Mexican Turbo Snails which they had. Don't buy Global Fish's Turbos...they're from cold waters & Keith at Aquatic only carries Astreas.

I've been trying to attend a MARSH meeting since Dec. but haven't gotten a chance. Eric Borneman is giving a talk & tips at either this one or next months before the collecting trip to Galveston. Here's their site http://www.marshreef.org/

Feel free to email or pm me!
