hot live sand


i bought 2 bags of liverock this afternoon and put it in my car trunk.i went staright to work after and left the sand in there...it sat in there for at least five hours...the temperature outside was 80 degree...befor i start the car , i check the bag and the sand was a little warm ....do u guys think that the sand is still alive...tanks in advance....

I do think it will be ok, Don't place it in a tank with livestock right off, You want to cure it like you would with liverock

should i rinse it off with fresh salt water?

So long as it's salt water. You can even used water from the tank if You plan on a water change
