before I have to go in and work on my day off again... I though I would add that I'm not sure what direction the tank is going to go. I may let it be a softie tank with LPS and a nice anemone with some clowns(I have never owned clowns as they were to nemoish ), but my neighbor just got a gorgeous pair of clowns and I like them...

Or making the tank an SPS tank and setting up a cube in the office as a clown anemone tank in the future.

I'm just not sure yet

Hop, I am using two 80 CFM fans in my equipment area. Two because of the way air will flow in two paths. I am getting them from Grainger. They have some monster stuff!

Sorry! I'll try to quit that!

Thanks though. It really made me happy to think I could keep the wetroom after all the time and hours I put into it

Well the 100 cfm fan is at the top and I'll still be running a stand alone ac and dehumidifier in the room that should keep the room cool while removing a ton of water from the room. It also is vented out of the room which should add another 100-150cfm. I still ahve to figure that part out. I ran a 60cfm before and it worked fine as long as I left it on 24/7. I'm hoping that these two together will take care of business. The nice thing is that it's certainly not a big deal to knock another hole in the wall

One other thing that changed from the original scematic of the wetroom is the RO/DI and SW storage. For now I will only have RO/DI storage in the wetroom. It is a 70 gallon acrylic tank I made that will gravity feed the sump with a float valve.

For SW storage I will be connecting two 44 gallon Rubbermaid brutes on rollers. My goal is to be able to do water changes similiar to the way I did them before, which will mean shutting the return off and changing the entire volume of water that the sump holds. So essintially about 60-70 gallons of water at a time. And be able to completely wipe down the sump during the process. I found this helps with diatris buildup and elevated levels in the tank.

I started batting some ideas around last night and may, I say MAY turn the little frag tank into a DSB fuge. It makes sense based on it's location and accessability... I've still got to run some numbers and see where everything is at, but it may be the perfect vessel for the application

Woh! Where did this thread spring from?

Great setup Hop!!!!!

I really don't think a 10G DSB fuge will be much help if your looking to control nitrates,.. it will help some, but I think the end result is it will load up with phosphate very quickly and leach back into the system.

The small frag tank is 40 gallons It does look about 10 gallons in the pics The goal is once funds are back up, is to go back to the original idea of a 120 gallon sump and 100 gallon fuge.

Oh,.. where did I get 10G from then? Still, I would be worried about it loading up. If you put a 2" sand bed, using oothlic sand in the main tank you really shouldn't have nitrate problems. This is how I'm going to setup my 180,.. I put too much in at first and I think I've decided to remove some of it.
