I am thinking about plumbing two 44 gallon brutes into the tank with ball valves so I can shut them off from the system, drain them, refill them and turn them back into the system for easy water changes... I think I have every thing I need for this already.

Not really anything set in stone. I would like to add a blenny and another small tang perhaps. Since I can't get the cardinals, I was thinking of perhaps around 5 anthias. I really need to refresh my clean up crew one of these days. Then I would like some more montis and perhaps and few other acros. I'm about done with the LPS I think other than I want a favia or something with a real splash of intense color.
Otherwise I'm hoping things take off and I can frag and move some more of the corals I already have around. There is still a bunch of realestate to fill in that area

You should get a bariene or dussumier. Although the mata is really cool, too. Of course then we'll see the "Hop's upgrade back to 450 gallons" thread in a few months.
If you need any frags, I ship. I'm actually wanting to get rid of a few of my caps. Think about it (purple rim calling your name)!

That would be cool! I have a purple cap that I got with the last order and it just isn't doing well at all. Now my red and green are doing great. In fact the red it encrusting over the rock and growing like mad. I notice growth every few days. I'm going to see about moving the purple this week and see if does better on the other side of the tank. I also need to move the green before it starts growing on the rockwork too.
I'm cleaning up my ATO valve now since I came close to a kalk mishap the other night. It's been to long since I cleaned it and it got stuck in the closed position thank goodness

Wordage update... No response needed...
I managed to get the new vent fan installed today. they changed the design so I had to do some modding of the new vent fan, but it seems to be working OK.
I also cleaned the powerheads in the tank and did a once over. Everything looks to be doing fine... Also had to pick up a few months supply of frozen food since I was just about out.

Another text update
I removed the manifold from the sump today that fed my po4 reactors and fuge. First it was just too much pump and second, one of the joints apparently started sucking air in and blowing massive microbubbles into the fuge. So I slapped an eheim 1250 and a mj1200 back on.
Otherwise I may have found a killer deal on a pair of 250 watt HQI ballasts with lumenarc mini reflectors. So the conversion to 250 watt may come sooner than later. Then I started thinking what if I kept the 400 watt and moved it to the center and added the 2 hqis to the sides...Hmmmm....

he was running two reeflux 12k's and 3 reeflux 10k's.
I actually tried to duplicate it but couldnt with 2-10's and a 12 over a 6 foot tank..........I woudl have need to use 5 bulbs as well....
it is sweet though

I think I swapped some emails with him when I was doing my lighting research. I really liked his set up.

I have six (three caps and three digis). It looks like there may be a spot on the underside of my green digi that is affected. I was planning on pulling t out here later and looking closer. Of course it's the one that is glued to a big rock

I think my plan of attack will be to remove and inspect each monti today, dip them, pick off any visible nudis, clip any affected areas where eggs may be and then add a wrasse. I guess I'll have to keep up this routine.
I'm just bummed since my red cap is getting huge and growing well

Well I inspected the montis and can't see anything... My green digi had some tissue issues on the underside of a couple branches, but I couldn't see any eggs. I did a 15 minute dip in TMPCC of the green digi and didn't see anything except a pod floating in the water.
I think at this point I'm going to order the wrasse (since I needed to restock my CUC anyways) and keep monitoring.
