Homer!
I'm sorry we jumped all over your thread about your cloudy tank but I wanted to ask if you had been able to locate any LR for your tank yet?
No shortages in my area, it may just be due to bad weather (especially hot weather) in your shipping area.
If rock is in short supply in your area, find out what day and time it's coming into the shop and get there when it does so you get to pick out the good stuff

Hi Alice,
Thanks for the message. My tank is slowly clearing, but I am afaid to start the return pump and cloud things up again. Should I suck out the ultra-fine stuff that is making the cloudiness? I can get some live rock at my LFS, but was unsure if now is the time, or wait until I can see clearly.
Actually, all the comments are helping me learn more about this hobby. Most of you know a lot and for us newbies, its very educational to read all the replys. And sometimes funny too..

I'd get going on the rock, "soonest begun, soonest done" and you're tank won't get through "cycling" until all your rock is in and you get rid of the last of the nitrates.

Alice and Drewman, I will get the first live rocks tomorrow at my LFS, then on Wed. or Thurs. a shipment of more from Premium Aquatics, along with some live sand (20 lbs) to help get the 180 lbs of dead sand going. Thanks again for your help. This is an exciting time for me. Been planning this since January.
