Home made sump

I was thinking about converting a 40G (long) glass tank into a sump. I was wondering if anyone has tried using small pieces of glass glued to the sides of the tank to hold plexiglass (kinda like making a dado with glass so I can slide the plexiglass into place). Since I hear its hard to glue pleixiglass to glass I was just thinking this would be easier and I can then custom make the baffles (with teeth) myself.

It's hard to glue plexiglass to glass, but it can be done. Your idea is not bad though. And it would allow you to remove the baffles if you ever need to. Wait a bit and see if someone knows a good method to stick plexi to glass.

Why not just use sheets of glass cut to size?
