i made a bunch of it. i liked my rock, started growing coraline in a couple of weeks. il see if i can find some pics.

I did it,.. I'm still using some of it,.. I do like the real stuff much better though.

well, i don't work, i am a stay at home homeschooling mom. so i'm thinking:
1- science project
2- save enough money on the rock have more money for livestock

I have never seen any homemade rock that I like in comparison to the real thing.
If you want some sweet rock that you just need to seed yourself, go to marcorocks.com. And keep in mind that you will only need half as much of this rock as you think weightwise becasue it is dry.

Im known around my part as a agrocrete master.....

this piece was made for a 42g hex......there is space behind the rock for heaters,skimmer,powerhead.....

I like to add rock salt to mine. (the rock salt will disolve leaving tiny whole). If you use thoright instead of cement it will be stronger,lighter and wont have to cure.

i like the way the real live rock looks, ive made my own be4..just didnt like the color or patience waiting for it to seed from my live rock...it didnt look natural to me..thats just my 3 cents
