Hitchiker

I got the strangest hitchiker in the liverock i just got for my nano. It's a 5 lb piece of fiji. I put it in the tank to cycle, and behold, a 3 inch snowflake eel. He's tiny, never seen one that size. He can go in my 50, once he's big enough, but how long can he possibly hold out in the 2.5 gal?
