hitch hiker id

sorry i don't have any pictures. i found a furry caterpillar looking critter. it's light tan with two rows of golden "hair" running down it's back. it's about 3/4" long and 3/16"wide. it was chilling out on some rock and then the current just swept it away into my net. any ideas?

Hmm could be tho BW usually have noticable bristles on both sides

I would guess to say it is a bristle worm! Be careful handling these as those bristles can feel like tiny pieces of glass in your fingers! Johnny
