Question

Hitch Hiker cone shaped snails ?

Hello,
I finally got my 120 lbs. of Figi in my 125.
There are a few snails that looks just like a pinecone climbing up the tank sides.
Are these safe ? They have a very long cone shape with a tiny opening just off center on one end. Same shape and coloring of a pine cone. One is 1/8th of an inchy and the other 1/32...tiny now...But ?

Hi WindWalker

Hmmm. It could be young Muricid snails, which is potential bad news, but that young/small, ID can be very, very tricky.

Any chance you can banish them to the sump (with a small rock to live off of), until they get big enough to ID --or at least a clear photo can be provided?

sorry this is so little help,
