IMO, if the Alk is really that high, it is your likely cause as the water they cam out of was probably half that in alk.

I will have to order the Salifert online as the store I go to only carries API. So if my Alk is really this high would I only need to do some major water changes to lower it? Don't want to stress anything just trying not to kill these corals.

just let the alk come down slowly on it's own... slow changes are much better than fast changes... fast changes lead to more of these types of problems

I would like to thank everyone for their help. I know that it is hard to diagnose without pictures but I appreciate the amount of response that this forum has contributed.

Okay, thanks. Should I purchase the other Salifert tests Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite etc..also and just get rid of the API?

nah, those tests work fine for their job, just for some of the more critical test it is better to go with the best you can afford.. use the comparative shopping feature here on trt (look up at the top of the page) to find the best prices

Well I am still waiting on the test kits...says they will arrive Friday. I have uploaded the best pictures that I could get with my wife's camera. Just click on my images under my signature to see what I am talking about when I say they are deflated and will not open.
