I say just leave them.. They're not doing any harm and if they're like mine, they'll stay tiny and quite possibly die off anyway.

are they white or are they brown? if they are brown they are Colonial Hydroids.. a bad thing... if they are white then they are fine, just leave em be...

they are not Colonial Hydroids, i just looked at a pic of the and that is not them they are featherdusters, if i take a piece of rock and shake it in the the tank i have little worms floating around, little worms with a fearther on the end of them. the worm part is very sticky and whatever it touches it sticks to. i will try not feeding so much and see if that helps. and i love arrow crabs so i may have a good reason to tell the wife i need 1 , she hates them.

i dont nessecarily* , my spelling sucks , want rid of them but i do what them controled. the problem with them is as they start to float around in the tank they attach to whatever they hit, aka my corals, leathers, anything. and i am not sure but i think they may be the reason that some of my corals seem to be dieing. but i do want a natural way to control them instead for chemicals.
thank you for all the info

sounds like you have a nutrient export problem. feather dusters like dirty water, they are filter feeders. if they are growing out of control than you have a lot of nutrients in the water. lots of corals do not like lots of nutrients in the water.
what corals seem to be dieing and how do they seem to be dieing?
how often do you feed? what kind of skimmer do you have? do you siphon detritus when you do water changes?

i am going back to feeding 1 time every 3 days, so that is problem the problem. i have the coralife superskimmer , modified so it works better ( i have a 1500 gph pump in between the needle whell pump and the skimmer)
the corals just seem to be getting dead spots on them, green slimer seems to have some slimey crap growing on it and my branching monti just seems to be getting dead spots on the branches so ill slow down on the feeding and see if that helps. and i will do a water change to try and get rid of extra nutrients
thanx for the info

you should be doing water changes every week. during these water changes you should be siphoning out as much detritus as you can. if you have not been doing this than do not hesitate to suck up some of the top layer of sand when you do your next water change. this will take out the most phosphate laden part of the sand bed. you should also try and get behind the LR as much as possible.
what kind of skimmate are you getting out of the skimmer? it should be a light tea coloured liquid. i get about a gallon of skimmate a day from my 125g system, just for reference. i do feed two or three times a day though.
