Help! Toadstool is slimy??
Please check out the pics. It looks like my toadstool is shedding or some kind of slimy film is coming off of it. Please let me know what you think. I have it up high and near alot of flow.. Good/ bad??

They need alot of flow to wash the shed away. Maybe you dont have enough? Watch it and see what it does over the next day or 2..

Normal,.. My toadstools shed every month or so,.. they close up for a few days shead off the layer of skin, then there back to growing and opening again

EWWWW
It is normal, they shed their slime coat every now and then. If you put a little extra water flow on them it will help it go away quicker.

the slime that you see from time to time is also a good way to help judge your tank also.
they ( leathers) will close down and slime if you are cleaning the tank, or if some of the parameters are off.
