HELP TANK DROPPED TO 73 Degrees

Well last night my GFCI tripped sometime between 11:30 and this morning. I got up and noticed my tank lights were off and my 6 Line Wrasse I just put in there a few days ago was dead. My yellow fiji looked pretty bad, I took some water measurements and they looked good.. my 2 clownfish, Kauderns Cardinal and goby all made it through... the yellow fiji looks like its coming around now that the heaters are on and all..

73 doesn't seem that bad, and I'm sure it wasn't a fast drop since the heat was on last night, but when they are used to 78, 80, the heaters are bringing the temp up slowly...

I don't see my pom pom around so I am really hoping he is ok somewhere in the rock work... my shrimps all are fine, hopefully everything will recover... please give me your thoughts on my corals/fish...

My tank has been at that temp before and everything survived. If you brought the temp back up slowly, then you should be good to go. Not sure why the six line died. But, since you just added him, he may have already been greatly stressed, and the temp drop pushed him over the edge.

Some times you lower your tank temp and salinity and medicate.i've done it and then bring it back up slowly.Like Jeremy said with tthat and your 6 line.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, that he was already stressed and the temp pushed him over the edge... I was just worried about it..

Just a thought

Please dont respond to this (Global Warming Part only):
I read an article about the global warming effect on CNN. Report to come out tomm. that if the world temp. is to change 2 degrees, it could wipe out some coral reefs. They stated it would would only take 10 years.
This is only something I wanted to throw out that compares your tank temp. and how it effects your environment inside.

I doubt if the temp was the culprit --- if your tank had zip power I would suspect lack of oxygen.

I don't know but it tripped... its out now... all my other fish were happy... I'm glad i have the Aqua C Remora supposedly the skimming action creates dissolved oxygen in the water..

The pom pom is ok
