Help! quick

Hopefully in about in hour i will be going over to my friends house and getting a 55gal. tank the problem is that he also has 3 freashwater fish each about 5in. and it's only about 2 degrees outside (not including the windchill) so i need to get them from his house to the van as quick as possible. Of course if i do get it i'll post pics a.s.a.p.

I always bring a back pack and with a bottle of warm water in the bottom of it. I put the fish in plastic bags wrap them is a small towel place them in the back pack as well. Remember the water is warm not hot and not directly touching the plastic bag that the fish are in.

You could always use a cooler too , just put a bag of warm water in it with them . I've done that when I used to live in NJ and never lost a fish .

if its truly that cold I would opt for a heat pack and small cooler instead of warm water. You want to wrap the heat pack up in newspaper so it doesnt actuallay touch any fo the fish bags, but this will provide a constant source of heat that will give you some real control. Bags of warm water will turn cold very quickly and not be helpful after a very short period of time
