HELP - Octopus 3000 Configuration Error

Today, the power went out for about 1 second and now my Octopus 3000 is not working. When I turn it on, I get the following series of messages:

Octopus 3000
Aquadyne Inc.

Ver 2.0
97-2993994

Copyright (C)
1992 - 1997

Self Test

Configuration is
invalid. ERROR

DOWNLOADER V1.4
Download FLASH

Then it stops there and pushing the buttons does nothing. I powered it down, then up, several times. Disconnected all the cables, etc.

My tank is not being controlled right now, so please respond quickly if you know a fix. Thanks.

Well I'm back in business with the Octopus 3000 after some great customer service from Aquadyne. I sent them an e-mail on Sunday night, they called me Monday and diagnosed the problem, I sent it to them FedEx and had a functioning unit back in my hands in 2 days. Donna over there was very helpful.

The problem was the internal on-board battery was dead. My Octopus is about six years old and the battery is only supposed to last for about five years. I got the factory service for $75 which included new battery, cleaning and flash upgrade. I had to re-program the unit though.
