Help my fish are dying

Ok so I bought this reef evolution trace elements crap to add to my water. I have dosed it three times now, less than what was directed, once every two weeks. The first dose everything went fine. Next dose my mandarin showed up dead next day. Dosed yesterday, and now "nemo's dad" as my son calls him is MIA. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this before? Could they be getting stung by a coral. The only other change that has been made was to start using r/o water. I cant imagine that would have anything to do with it. Any thoughts? My only fish now is my Sailfin, and I really dont want to loose him.

Thanks,
Mary

Oh, and all the water parameters are good. Tank temp a steady 78, nitrate just above zero, nitrite, and amm at zero. PH 8.1, alk has not changed either. Please help!!!

How old and how big is your tank? The mandarin might have died of starvation.

Have you checked the floor around the tank, or your sump or overflow? The clown could have jumped to one of those places.

I don't see any reason why the additive could have killed them, especially if your adding below recomended and only 3 times. But, additives are not really necessary in the first place, your WC's should take care of your trace compounds.

Sorry for your losses, unfortunately these things happen.

72 bowfront tank with 120 lbs LR, up and running for 2 1/2 years. Clown was in there the whole time. As far as nemo's dad, I have a glass top but I will look in my sump when I get home.
