HELP!! My daisy polyps turning brown!

My green star polyps have been growing well, I have had them 2 weeks, a cutting from my LFS. Last night though I noticed they did not look as "lush" and upon closer inspection can see that some of the stems are turning brown. Now I know THAT is hard to kill. Everything else is doing fine. No info on water because I do not TEST my WATER!! Please do not yell at me.

Ummmm....OK, no yellling!

Couple of quick qqs (I think you'll find for every question you ask at TRT you have to answer on overage 4 more!)

Lighting - what sort and how old are your bulbs? How do they differ from the LFS lighting?
Placement in the tank - how different to the LFS placement?
How are the other critters in the tank - any changes?
What's your normal maintenance routine wrt to water changes/skimmer/filter/carbon, and how much and often do you feed?

OK I can do this! I have a 29 gal oceanic biocube, new so lights are new. (About a month old, but I used rock and sand from existing reef tank) I have standard nano lights (72 watts?) and the LFS had it in a tank with metal halides and up close to the top. Mine is in the middle, so definately less light. All other inhabitants are good. I do weekly water change of 15-20% using LFS water. No filters or skimmers because it is a nano. I feed 1-2 times a day frozen, rinsed food, only as much as they eat but not for more than 3 minutes. Phew!
