i am stumped!...
so i buy a
PFO dual ballast and 2-250w 10K HAMILTON bulbs...one bulb is yellowish and the other white so i determine that i got a bad bulb...i return both HAMILTONs and get 2-250w 10K USHIOs ...and then buy a single ballast to make a total of 3 bulbs over my 125 gal...all 3 are new 10K USHIOs...
so i hook up the 3 new USHIOs and one is kinda yellow!...what gives?...i thought it might be a socket or ballast problem but when i move the bulb from socket to socket it remains yellow...so it must be the bulb?!...
are MH bulbs this finicky?...do you get a bad bulb that often?...is it coincidence?...am i doin something wrong?...
i made sure that all the "nipples" on the bulbs were facing up...or as close to up as possible...
if its a "burn in" problem wouldnt they all start out with the same "look"?
i guess i can always take the yellowish USHIO back in and try another?...
anyone ever had this problem?
thanks
brad
