Help me With brown stuff

hey guys i just got a uniquarium tank about 2 weeks ago. and it is getting brown hair like algue in it. at first i though it was diatoms from the water but its half from a fully established tank and half from new water RO water. I recently got some new lights also. Would it be ok if i did a 10 gallon water change tonight would that cause any problems or any thing like that??? because the brown hair algue is getting on all my LR and on the Live sand. also little bubbles are getting created under the sand. when i shift the sand i little with my turkey baster little bubble come from under the tank what is causing this anyone know. Would that stuff called Fasguard work for this PLease Help me

so you would advise not to do the 10G WC tonight. I remeber when i started on my nano cube back in the day it had the same problem and i did a little water change and 2 days latter wala no more brown stuff. If i do a WC would that restart the Cycle over. Also i am gona go get about another 40 punds of Fiji Live rock next week. If i add that in would it also restard the cycle (that live rock would be complete cured already)

I blew that stuff off the rocks with a turkey baster then sucked it off the substrate and did a small water change. The tank looked cleaner and I felt better.

Not sure if it was right or wrong as that is normal during a cycle, but oh well.

That stuff should blow off pretty easily on the substrate and maybe some will stick on the rocks. It will go away on it's own.

Get a razor blade and scrape the glass clean before the water change if you did not do it already.

wow last night i got home about 3am from work. i looked at my tank and wow my black clown was completetly full of ich i tried netting him to move him to my 24G nano cube. after 30 minutes of triying to catch him i gave up. He kept swimmming in the rocks and nooks. so i blew off what ever i could from the rocks (brown or gold color algue Think its diatoms) then clean the class and sand let the it go into the sump then did a 10G WC. This morning the ich on the little guy was completetly GONE well hope this algue leaves soon i have cut my lights off completely and just leaving my lunar light on now to kill some of that algue.
Also one Question if i run 2 Actinics only is it as bad as if i ran the two 10,000k PC or not as bad thx
