Help I think My cinnamon clown has fin rot

It looks to be like fin and tail rot 3 small spots on fins and looks to be kinda cottony looking. I think melafix cures this but is it safe for the reef? thanks for the help

Melafix is great but i would look into moving them to qt first anyways.

when you do the qt go hyposalinic too. that will help kill the rot faster. 1.018 to 1.019

1.018 is not hyposaline - won't do much.

If it's cottony on a clown it's probably Brooklynella. Formalin bath should help - do NOT put formalin in your display. Formalin bath, or treat the QT with formalin - no live rock in the QT unless you plan never to put it back in the display.

Melafix is useless on this type of thing. In fact, IMO Melafix is not really helpful for any saltwater ailment.
