Technically you can do a 100% waterchange if temp and pH match, but that *could* open up a few issues. I try not to exceed about 30-40% per waterchange.

Could just be a bacterial bloom, something may have spawned or any host of other things could have happened.

Are you running carbon? Do you have any clams?

Don't worry about the mushrooms, nuclear war barely kills them. It sounds like a bacterial bloom, and carbon will only make it worse. Are you running a skimmer? The main issue is carbon source as they drive these types of bacterial blooms being a food source for them. If you have a good skimmer, skim alot wetter and try not to feed the tank. Do some decent water changes to try to dilute the carbon compounds in the tank.

I was adding reef Biofuel and everything was fine then I tried to add regular carbon and that may have done it then. I'm going to do about 20% water change tommorow and see. but everything seems to be good so far. ... for now

Ther's your biofuel, biofuel... that is basically a Carbon source and a base component of the Zeo type methodology. Stop dosing it entirely.. that is what the problem is for sure... and stop running carbon as well for the time being. You don't need all these special additives to keep a succesful RA... especially a softie based tank... for an SPS tank, they may be helpful..
