Hi, everyone! I just wanted to say hello to all the very nice people who frequent this board! Also, for folks like Dave who have experienced a set back or two just remember this: There are two kinds of reefers. There are those of us who have had some losses and there are those of us that will. To speak in generalities, only bad things happen fast in reef tanks. What distinguishes us from the rest of the world is that we really care about about the animals we keep. They don't have that kind of love even in nature.

Boy, that's the truth about losses. I've had some that just left me devistated. I hate to see any animal die while under my guardianship, be it a fish, coral, cat, dog or whatever kind of animal the kids have brought home and want to put in a jar

It happens in spite of our best efforts and unfortunately, I know it will happen to me again. All we can do is try the very best we can to provide them with a good environment and diet and to choose our animals wisely, those we are able to care for withing our systems.
