Hello Everyone!!!
Hello Everyone, I just joined this message board...I've been reading for some time your threads and decided to get in on the action. I also have a question that I hope some of you may be able to help me out. I have a strange organism that is appearing on my glass, live rock, everywhere etc!! They are small white spiral shaped (not snail eggs) hard object. They never turn into anything and if I scrape them off the glass, they just come back. I'm not sure if this is some type of barnacle or something else. Any ideas?? I will try to get some pictures online soon, but they are so small it is hard to get a good pic. Also I just upgraded my lights to 2 65W Daylight 10K 2 Actinic Power Compacts and will be adding some soft corals soon. Any advice?
55 gallon with about 65-70lbs of live rock, emperor 400 hang on filter with the bio wheels, Prizm protein skimmer.
Yellow Tang
Blue Tang
Possum Wrasse

1 coral banded shrimp
1 peppermint shrimp
2 cleaner shrimp
2 serpent sea stars
1 brittle sea star
2 sand sifting sea star
1 blue linckia sea star
about 15 dwarf blue legged hermit crabs
25-30 different snails
some purple and red mushrooms

Welcome to TRT!!!!
We have softies in two tanks and reasonable flow and lighting (3W per gallonish with PC's is fine for PC's). I was not up for the DSB challenge so we both have 2" arogonite beds with some seed sand mixed in and I vacuum the gravel during the water changes and get that detritus out of there. We have yet to lose a softie ever, but did not add them until we had six weeks of cycling.
