Heaters

Any suggestions on a heater for a 120G- I had a 500W Prot Heater but its on the fritz after just 3 months- I moved in my old 250W Pro Heater II in but its not really keeping up with the cool weather we are still having- Should I just add another 250W or 300W heater? Suggersted brands ?

I have had an Ebo Jager for years, is contained within a plastic sheath, I think it's terrific, still is very accurate - -

I recommend going with two heaters! Always the best way.

Two heaters that by themselves aren't enough, but together are sufficient

This helps if one breaks and gets stuck...then it won't overheat the tank..and will buy you more time to find out about it.

And the same if one stops working altogether.

I agree that two heaters are better than one because they can back up each other, and you have a large tank. Ebo Jager makes a 250w heater (you would need two) and Visi-Therm makes a 300-watt one, but I don't know much about the Visi-Therm, only the EJs and I like them a lot.
