Heaters

I have done the search and still confused? Planning on the next "big" tank and looking for heaters. I am currently using EBO Jagers and am very happy with them. Adjusting them in the tank is a little challenging but can be done.

From the horror stories as well as the success stories on the Won titanium heaters, I like the idea of the digital readout and the ease of adjustment. Anyone using these and have good luck with them or should I just stay with tried and true EBO Jager and just add 2 more for the tank?

Will be a in wall 330 or so with a total gallonage of 450 gals and all outside in the garage. (just had a snow storm dump several inches and temps got to 18, but this is not all the time in winter)

TIA

For my 300 I use 2 Ebo's in the sump, 1 250 watt and 1 300 watt. The 250 watt heater is only plugged in during the winter months and is not needed in warmer weather. Yes the Ebo's are a little tricky adjusting at first but once dialed in are very consistent IME. I just wish Ebo would come out with a heater with an external thermostat. It would be nice but not a necessity. I thought about the WON heaters but sounds like there are too many problems still.

I bought a Ranco temperature controller. It's one of the best investment I've made. I have two heaters running full time in winter and three heaters going through the controller. I just turn the Ebos all the way up and let the controller turn them on and off.

Thanks guys - I am kind of shy of the Won's but why change if one brand is still going strong. Rick - where did you get the Ranco?
