having some trouble lately

hey everyone

ive been having some trouble lately with my tank. i did a really stupid thing a week ago. i bought a small yellow tang and a heniochus butterfly for my 30gal cube . they had an outbreak of ICH, both the tang and butterfly show signs of white spots all over them, but my 2 clowns ive had for 4 months now do not show any signs( tanks been up for 5 months). there is some good news to this story. i am hopefully getting my godfathers 60 gallon aquarium, becuase he is taking it down after 8 years of trial and error. so if i get the tank, i will be able to add new water to it, and let it cycle while im CURING my infected fish in another aquarium. so when they are cured the tank will have cycled all the way( my predictions ).

knowing my story and what kind of situation im in i need to ask you guys a few questions now. would i be able to take out the LR that is now in my 30 gal aquarium(the infected tank) and place it in the new 60gallon and let it cycle, and just cure the fish in the 30gallon, and once their cured and the 60 gal is cycled transfer them into the 60 and either sell the 30 gal, or clean it out and use it as a sump? this way i wont have to catch the fish, i can just take out the rock, and Cure them with chemicals in the 30. but my concern is adding the LR from the 30 to the new 60... can the LR transfer ICH to the new tank?? or will i be safe doing this?

I can't be much help for many of your questions but ICH has a life cycle of ~28 days I believe (this is either the life cycle or the time it takes them to die off which is twice the life cycle?????????)
So if there is no host for it they should be gone in about a month from what I've read.
Somebody will back me up or correct me if I'm wrong but that is what I've read.

Also I think the butterfly will do fine in a 60 but the tang will outgrow it and need more room to swim.

Hopefully it works out for you
you should be able to get a good system going in the 60 with a 3o sump
Good luck!
Cube tanks are nice though shame to not use it for a display IMHO

without a doubt it can.
I would skip the chemicals and start feeding some garlic with the fishfood and, if you can, buy a cleaner shrimp to take care of the Ich. Ich is related to stress so the more you mess with the fish the worse it gets. Fish can fight off Ich naturally if they are kept in good conditions.
