Have any other pets?

Anybody have any other favorite pets besides the pods in your sandbed? Here's a picture of my cat that I took with a 135mm lens on my camera. Her name is Spot. She likes to lounge in the sun.

Blake,

I have a cat as well. He loves my new tank and has often stood up on his hind legs and batted at the fish through the glass as they swam by. He will sit for hours watching the tank too. I would swear that the watchman goby spends as much time watching my cat as my cat spends watching him. The Chromis seem to enjoy his attention too, they will school down to the corner when he is batting at them to check him out. I will get some photos of this soon and try to post them.

I personally own no pets; not even a reef tank!!!! The 55 reef and all other creatures actually belong to FishGirl, my 8 y.o. daughter. I am merely the financial backer and maintenance consultant!
Besides the 55 reef, FishGirl's menagerie includes:
Aquatic:
>38 gal. FOWLR with "Spotty", the baby Chainlink Moray;
55 ga. Viquarium with red-eared turtle (formerly occupied by an Albino Axolotl and a Tiger Salamander;
>20 ga. Freshwater community tank;
>Three Tadpoles
>One Swimming Crab in a 1-1/2 gal. hex.

Land Pets:
>Benji, the "purebred" Terrier Mix;
>Ginger, the Orange Cat;
>Patches, the Cat;
>Maggie and Chi Chi, the comic Chihuahuas;
>Rocky, the baby Raccoon;
>Crystal and Nicholas, the Jungle Phase Leopard Geckoes;
>A herd of Teddy Bear Hamsters (breed too fast to count]
>Mousey Pipsey, the tiny white mouse;

Did I mention FishGirl plans to be a Wildlife Biologist?
Dick

In addition to the reef I was owned by four cats, unfortunatly its down to 3 now, everyones favorite of the bunch died today(cause unknown) Worst part is it was my grandsons favorite and his first experience with the loss of a beloved pet.The maine coon adopted us and the other three are from the same litter(abandoned). The wildest ogf the bunch was literally pried outta the jaws of my sons wolf. She is a tad wild and independant but loves me(go figure I have more scars than her). The cats are outdoor cats and are pretty cool tho I am a dog person. Used to raise Airdale Terriers, but with the obligations I have now a dog is out of the question till I dont have to work, and can spend time with a dog.

Johnny; that is one fat cat And some of you folks might want to look into getting a zoo permit, lol. Sorry to hear about the kitty Doug.

At present, the only "dry" pet at our house is our cat, Pepper.

Hi all- We live out in the sticks and have a small wanna-be farm. We have a great little beagle named Shane, a big orange tomcat named Jed, a black cat named Pepper (Alice what a coincidence) her sister salt disappeared just a few weeks after we adopted them. We also have many chickens: layer hens are Ruby, Miss Peckenpaw, Blanch, Honey, Stella, and two gals without names. A rooster named Spike by our daughters because he has a black body and a yellow head like a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (wasn't there a thread awhile back about guilty pleasures?) Also too many bantie Chickens to name or keep up with as they are very prolific and run all over the property (kinda ferrel chickens). We also have a fluffy angora bunny that we adopted a couple years ago named Sniffers. We need to start a petting zoo. -Creek

To add to the list....

Here's my two cats, one male and one female. Their names are "Male Cat" & "Female Cat". Brother and Sister. Female is on the left in both picture below.
Female has this odd thing about laying on her back totaly spread eagle. That an her unashamed bid for attention from every stranger that comes to the house got her the nick name "***** Cat". Also frequently sits "Budda" style which looks very strange for a cat.....
