Has anyone found 'cool' submersible pumps?

I'd like to add a 15 gal refugium (glass tank) to my display and I'm looking for a return pump that is quiet and won't heat up too badly. The display is a 28 gal. bowfront and I'd need about 3' of head. I guess the Rios are out

Any suggestions welcome

Cherry

I don't know how much flow you are looking for, but I've used Hagen 802's on similar setups. These things are very reliable, last for years, and produce a good flow even with moderate head.
And I've never noticed a heat problem with them.
The 802 is rated at 400gph, before head loss.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into them. I'd like about 400gph before head loss.
