Good Morning, Tims, Jim, ( I think I just saw Cath walking through the door) and all of TRT!!!
Friday is finally here and the weekend fun begins for most of us. Sorry, Alice, you'll have to wait 'til Tuesday for your Friday!
Chilly here on Rocky Top.....28 with a hard frost, the first I've had at my house this Fall! It is going to be a beautiful day with sunshine and 50-ish but rain moving in tonight. Might be a bit wet for the Vols-Mississippi State game tomorrow. I'll stay warm and dry in front of the TV!
Tim, I just saw the PoconoSno on the news; Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Big news around here is that after sailing around for 511 years,
Columbus has discovered East Tennessee!!!
The Nina, a full-scale replica of the original has made landfall near Knoxville! This ship was built in Brazil, using traditional methods, and is true to the original. It has been plying the waters of North and South America for over 10 years. Only 66' long, it carried a crew of 20 on its voyage of discovery but once transported 120 passengers back across the Atlantic to Spain; must've been stacked in there like cordwood!!
I made a quick scouting trip to see it yesterday and am going to take FishGirl and one of her school friends back this afternoon; a living history lesson.

If it comes to a port near you, it is well worth a visit.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Dick
