Good Morning, Tims, Jim, ( I think I just saw Cath walking through the door) and all of TRT!!!

Friday is finally here and the weekend fun begins for most of us. Sorry, Alice, you'll have to wait 'til Tuesday for your Friday!

Chilly here on Rocky Top.....28 with a hard frost, the first I've had at my house this Fall! It is going to be a beautiful day with sunshine and 50-ish but rain moving in tonight. Might be a bit wet for the Vols-Mississippi State game tomorrow. I'll stay warm and dry in front of the TV!

Tim, I just saw the PoconoSno on the news; Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Big news around here is that after sailing around for 511 years, Columbus has discovered East Tennessee!!!

The Nina, a full-scale replica of the original has made landfall near Knoxville! This ship was built in Brazil, using traditional methods, and is true to the original. It has been plying the waters of North and South America for over 10 years. Only 66' long, it carried a crew of 20 on its voyage of discovery but once transported 120 passengers back across the Atlantic to Spain; must've been stacked in there like cordwood!!

I made a quick scouting trip to see it yesterday and am going to take FishGirl and one of her school friends back this afternoon; a living history lesson.

More info about The Nina here: http://www.thenina.com/

If it comes to a port near you, it is well worth a visit.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Dick

Good Mawnin' Tim and Jim!

I could use some coffee here too, Tim....but diet Pepsi? Well...maybe... if you do the Carolina thing and put peanuts in it

Much colder and pretty windy down here too, Tim. Not quite as bad as up there, though. Let's see what Dick says about TN.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to everyone out there.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee on Friday!

Morning everyone.

Thanks for the pic and the link Dick. I see that they will allow you to sail the Nina. Are you going out on her?

'Morning, Rick, thanks!

Unfortunately, it won't be sailing while the Nina is here; just tied to the dock. They only do that when it's at Winter Port in Mexico or somewhere in the Caribbean.

Good Morning "SMACK, SMACK, SMACK, SCRATCH, SCRATCH" I was up again until 1:30 A.M. Snail hunting. The only natural predator for the sundail snails in my tank is ME MUWAHAHAHA!

I really need to get some sleep I think I am losing it. Thank goodness that I only have to work 2 hours today.

I started drawing up the plans for my new hood to house my metal halides and I received my ballasts yesterday. WOOOHOOO!

I hope that everyone has a great Friday and an awesome weekend. Talk to you later.

Peanuts go much better in regular coke than in diet pepsi. Of course down here.. all flavors of soft drink is called "coke". But good news..... co-worker brought donuts.. and my personal fave... APPLE FRITTER! yum

Now my stomach is stating to growl. Good morning all. A beautiful day here in cheesehead country. I assume everyone knows where that is.

Gonna do a water change this weekend on both the horse tank and the 90g. I got a system down so it is quick.

Back to work,

Homer

Morning all;

Just another great day in the neighborhood. Not raining yet though so that is a good thing.

Dick, I'll bet Fishgirl and her friend will really enjoy visiting the ship; I know I would!

Hope you all have a great Friday

Alice
