Hammer Coral a protected genus?

I was flipping through the Baensch Marine Atlas vol. 2 and on page 465 it has Hammer Coral. I have one so I was reading about it and at the bottom it says that it is a protected genus and not available. WHAT?!?!? Is this book out dated (copyright 1997) already? Is this hobby progressing that fast? or do I have one that just looks ALOT like the one in the book but isn't the same?

I suppose "Hammer coral" may mean more than one coral. What was the specific genus the book refers too? What I consider a "hammer coral" belongs to the Euphyllia genus, which has been one of the most widely available genus in the last 5 years.

Very strange.

I noticed that in Baensch also. My only thinking is that Baensch is actually translated from German. Maybe they are not allowed into Germany or it is a typo?

gregt- in the book it is Euphyllia ancore.
Wrasse Man - I would agree but with the "(protected genus)" it makes me wander. Do we have a coral we are not suppose to have? or IS it a typo?
