gsp not opening
My gsp's decided one day they didnt want to open up anymore, all water params are ok, shrooms, xenia, anemone, button polyps all are fine. a little bit of algae was starting to grow in the middle of them but was removed immediately. there are still about 3 or 4 of hte individual polyps opening but its nowhere near what it used to be. i can provide pictures from a week ago and what it looks like now if that would help. btw just did a water change last night so we'll see what that does... thanks guys

I think a better idea would be taking a turkey baster, and blowing the crud off.
Actually...it's a good idea to do this every once in a while anyways...with a lot of corals. Zoo's, GPS, anything with a sturdy polpy that closes at night.

The turkey baster is what I use, just blast them when they have retracted every few weeks (thats if you want them to grow everywhere).

GSP's do this from time to time. And they come back. They cause a lot of needless worry.

Mine just came out after being in for 3 weeks. It was the second time in a year they did this. Eventually, they'll decide to come back out. Just in case, do you use phosGuard? That will make them go in because it contains aluminum oxide.

Yea it should be fine. Eventually, they'll all get the signal to come out. They're in there having a party right now.
